Celebes Rainbowfish (Marosatherina ladigesi)

The sole member of the genus Marosatherina, this beautiful freshwater rainbowfish is endemic to the Bantimurung area in south Sulawesi, Indonesia. Named after Dr. Werner Ladiges (1910–1984), a German zoologist, ichthyologist and aquarist.
