A small and delicate blue-eye rainbowfish from the swamps, billabongs, and backwaters of northern Australia and southern Papua New Guinea. Known for its translucent golden body and bright blue eyes.

Key Features

• Maximum Size: 5.5 cm / ~2.2 inches SL.
• Appearance: Translucent golden or yellowish body with iridescent blue eyes. Males have more colorful fins with amber, black, and white margins.
• Fin Details: Dorsal spines 3–5, dorsal soft rays 6–7; anal spines 1, anal soft rays 7–10.

Aquarium Care

• Tank Size: Minimum 20 gallons for a small school.
• Water Parameters: Tropical freshwater; 77–86°F (25–30°C), pH 6.0–7.5, soft to moderate hardness.
