Key Features

• Maximum Size: 3.5 cm / ~1.4 inches SL.
• Appearance: Slender body with intricate honeycomb or reticulated patterning in shades of tan, brown, and cream. Males and females are similar in appearance, with no dramatic sexual dimorphism noted.
• Fin Details: Typical for the genus, with soft, rounded fins suited to slow-flowing waters.

Aquarium Care

• Tank Size: Minimum 10–20 gallons for a small group (ideal for nano or heavily planted setups).
• Water Parameters: Tropical freshwater; 72–82°F (22–28°C), pH 6.5–7.5, soft to moderately hard. Excellent water quality and gentle flow are essential.
• Diet: Omnivorous — readily accepts small live or frozen foods (bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphnia) and high-quality sinking micro-pellets.
• Behavior: Peaceful, shy, and nocturnal. Best kept in groups with plenty of driftwood, leaf litter, and hiding spots. Excellent community tank inhabitant that won’t disturb plants or other small fish.
